In 1984, a curly grey bear came into being....a Bear that would ultimately change her life completely.

Having been born and raised in southern Indiana, where arts and crafts were commonplace, Pamela enjoyed the work of painting and fabric sculpting and was always involved in an artistic field throughout her college years. After coming across a small shop with manufactured, collectors Teddy Bears, she found herself enthralled by the challenge of creating her own style Teddy but with a more emotionally striking expression. Unbeknownst to her at the time, there existed a magazine and about seventy-five other creators around the world devoting their entire work to Teddy Bears.

Many, many Teddies later, Pamela found herself passionately involved in a totally new career, far removed from her education in music and sociology...a career which has now spanned over twenty years.

From her modest beginnings where there were no classes, instruction manuals and workshops, she began her mark as an original designer and creator of Teddies with a special soul and charm. Now, as in that day, she still continues to design and create each Teddy completely from start to finish ensuring that the Teddy who began in her heart---is the same one you will hold next to yours.

Pamela has received over 17 nominations and/or awards for her art work from the Golden Teddy Awards and the TOBY Awards, as published by Teddy Bear Review and Teddy Bear and friends. She has also received numerous convention and show awards, as well as countless other accolades. Her work has been featured on the covers of magazines and calendars and written about in over one dozen books and publications on the artistry of Teddies.

From 1992 through 1998, Pamela was one of a few group of artists invited to participate in the Walt Disney World Bear and Doll Convention. There her pieces sold out within mere minutes and her auction pieces fetched prices over $7500.00.

Her commissioned works can also be found in the renowned Izu, Nasu and Hakone Museums all outside Tokyo Japan, which feature some of the finest Teddy Bear works of art in the world, as well as in the Naples Florida Teddy Bear Museum.

Through all of her involvement with galleries and manufacturers, Pamela still counts her proudest accomplishments as the approval of each collector when they receive their own Teddy created especially for them, as these collectors are truly the catalyst for her continuing stride to keep furthering her art.

Pamela resides on the coast of beautiful, southern California. Her home is decorated with antiques and early Teddy Bear memorabilia, surrounding her studio with the history of this special children's toy which touches all of our hearts so deeply. Her life has been filled and shared with the incredible love of her kitties and parrots which so often provide the inspiration for the heartwarming souls of her work.

In 2002, Pamela made the decision to retire permanently from the international awards and competition in order to spend more time on her designs and commissions for her internet collectors. "It was a tremendous honor to be selected so many times and so many years, for recognition of my artistic abilities. I continue to be overwhelmed by the response to my award winning designs and am so proud that each award was given to a completely unique and individual design. As an artist, there could be no greater compliment, than your approval."
